Leanne Scrogham, Manager of Hartland House, part of Abbeyfield (Lakeland Extra Care Society Limited), has been named The Most Outstanding Care Manager in the World 2025 at the Global Housing, Healthcare and Enablement Awards.

The prestigious Global Award was presented at a gala dinner held in London on 4 December 2025, recognising exceptional leadership and innovation in the care and housing sector on a worldwide stage.

The Global Housing, Healthcare and Enablement Awards celebrate excellence across seniors housing and care, healthcare innovation and IT, disability housing and care, and medical tourism. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that demonstrate outstanding performance, visionary leadership, innovation, and the ability to set new standards of excellence internationally.

Award recipients are selected following a rigorous evaluation process, with the Global Awards Secretariat applying the following benchmark to each shortlisted nominee:

“Is this candidate the best performing, most meritorious, most innovative and most courageous in their category?”

Awards are presented only in categories where an entrant clearly merits the accolade, underscoring the significance of this recognition.

Speaking following the announcement, Leanne Scrogham said:

“I am incredibly proud and humbled to receive this award. It reflects the dedication, compassion and professionalism of the entire team at Hartland House. High-quality care is always a collective effort, and this recognition belongs to every colleague who works tirelessly to ensure our residents feel safe, valued and truly at home.”

Leanne added:

“To be recognised on a global stage is an honour, but the greatest reward will always be the difference we make to the lives of the people we support every day.”
